We have now received the first ‘Pre-Production’ samples of our brand new LT ELE – Electra Strobe Torch and LT SPE – Spectrum Strobe and both are fantastic and dramatically improved from the previous hugely popular styles.

First impression is appearance and feel, the new models ooze quality and have a solid chunky feel as soon as they are picked up. The Spectrum Strobe will have a Velcro strap allowing simple and fast attachment and removal from other equipment, such as the top side of the corrugated hose section on a Divers Buoyancy Device.

Having a dual function, the Electra Strobe & Torch will be supplied with a top quality Velcro attachment strap, exactly the same as provided with the Spectrum Strobe. Additionally it will have a heavy duty cord lanyard with cord lock and rubber tubing to maximise comfort. Either can be removed easily, leaving the one required and simply re-attached when necessary.

The LED High Intensity Flashing Strobe Light and LED Torch section are all far brighter than the original versions, whilst burn time is dramatically increased due to the use of state of the art modern technology. The brand new versions that have been in development for around 18 months, both use the same standard ‘AA’ Size Battery Cells or re-chargeable units can be used if desired.

Bench testing has now been completed, with pressure testing in water down to an equivalent depth of 100 Metres and all was fine having been left under this pressure for over 5 days. Tests have taken place to ensure that the quoted burn times are factual and again these have shown times well in excess of the quoted figures for both the LED Strobe and Torch sections. The Strobes should burn for around 24 hours, we were amazed that 6 days later they were all still flashing away!!

The next stage of our testing will involve actual use this will start within the next few days and these units will be given as much use as soon as possible in a minimum amount of time. We hope to have both available by the start of the summer from all leading Dive Stores and they will be available in a choice of Black or Orange colours. The Electra Strobe Torch will have an RRP of £49.95 and the Spectrum Strobe will have an RRP of £42.95.
